Falcon Steel America is the Industry’s Only “One-Stop Shop” for T&D Steel Structures

Expands engineering, fabrication, delivery and storage capabilities

FORT WORTH, Texas – March 31, 2017 – Falcon Steel America has launched an aggressive initiative to enhance its position as the only one-stop resource for the design, engineering, fabrication and delivery of American-made steel structures for power transmission and distribution (T&D) companies.

As the only fabricator of high voltage steel-lattice towers in the United States, Falcon Steel America also produces monopoles and substations primarily used by utilities and power companies. The Fort Worth-based company also fabricates steel structures for the transportation industry, and is targeting other industry segments as part of its strategic growth plan.

The company currently operates three plants in Haltom City, Kaufman and Euless, Texas. According to Jim Taylor, CEO, each plant now has the flexibility to fabricate all three of the company’s core T&D product lines, as well as to expand into other types of steel fabrication products.

“We‘ve been on an aggressive expansion path for roughly two years now, and have been steadily adding new equipment, resources, personnel and services throughout the process.

“With our expanded capabilities and over 50 years of experience in all three T&D product lines, Falcon can provide added value to utilities companies, engineering firms and EPCs in their planning and construction phases, and can also develop cost estimates for handling an entire project from concept to delivery,” Taylor said.

“Having our own galvanizing operations gives us more control over on-time delivery, and with our Material Management Program, we can also schedule flexible delivery times to meet the specific demands and changes at each job site.

“Our ultimate goal is to expand our initiative as the only resource American power transmission and distribution companies will ever need to satisfy their demand for steel structures. We can provide “in-house” engineering and fabrication drawings for high voltage lattice towers, monopoles and substation power delivery structures, and then we can fabricate them, deliver them on time—and even store them—until they’re needed on the job site. Falcon Steel America wants to be a true partner, not just a vendor, to every customer we serve,” he added.
