Responsibilities:

  • Produce quality UT passable welds.

  • Must know welding symbols.
  • Working knowledge of using temperature sticks, welding gauges.
  • Ability to use Overhead and Jib cranes.

Job Summary

Job Summary

The Drafting Detailer will create 3D models and fabrication drawings from design documents to customer/engineering specifications, and is responsible for preparing drawings and bills of materials accurately. The Drafting Detailer will also be responsible for conferring with design personnel to resolve drawing and design discrepancies.

Experience

This position requires:

  • A minimum of three (3) to five (5) years’ related work experience in the Electrical Utility Transmission and Substation Industry creating steel fabrication and assembly drawings using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD is required.
  • Strong experience with using Inventor and AutoCAD.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft office suite with a focus on Excel and Outlook.
  • Familiarity with standard steel manufacturing practices in the Electrical Utility Transmission and Substation Industry.

Qualifications

As a Drafting Detailer in the Drafting Department, the ideal incumbent possesses the following qualifications:

  • Associates degree in Drafting, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

The Drafting Detailer is responsible for:

  • Creating fabrication and assembly drawings, DXF’s, and bills of materials accurately according to Falcon Steel Americas’ standards and the company’s Drafting Manual.
  • Checking your own work for 100% accuracy to the engineering and customer specifications, and to the shop and QA/QC expectations and requirements.
  • Performing engineering calculations required in the day to day assignment, such as length, width, diameter, radius, orientation, area, volume, weight, spacing, etc.
  • Providing assistance to other drafters and/or checkers when required.
  • Performing administrative functions, such as printing, scanning, and emailing drawings and documents.
  • Actively working to improve daily processes.
  • Effectively communicating with the team in a productive manner.

Job Summary

This position maintains production and quality by ensuring operation of machinery and mechanical equipment.  Electrical knowledge and experience is a plus. Required to work on all assigned task and will work under the supervision of the maintenance supervisor.  Demonstrate the ability to repair, troubleshoot and upgrade a variety of industrial machines and equipment in our steel manufacturing facility.  In this role you will complete maintenance service and repairs of plant equipment, machinery, etc.  You will maintain buildings and plant facilities in clean, orderly and working conditions.  Responsible for building a positive working relationship across other departments with a main focus on production.

Responsibilities:

  1. Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, electrical schematics, hydraulic schematic, operations manuals, manufacturer’s instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.
  2. Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
  3. Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts.
  4. Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts; using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.

  • Verify and keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepare items for shipment
  • Input all shipment information into ERP computer system
  • Compare identifying information and counts, weighs or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders or other records
  • Make carrier arrangements when necessary
  • Participate in physical inventories and inventory reconciliation exercises to meet overall inventory accuracy goals

Job Summary:

Skilled position responsible for ensuring the highest degree of product quality is achieved via current manufacturing processes. This position will work with company-wide QA/QC team.

Primary duties will include the dimensional checking of fit-up on poles and structural steel, weld symbols and a general compliance to the specified detail drawings as well as AWS and AISC specifications.

Shifts:
Haltom: 2nd Shift
1 Dimensional Inspector (for Poles, requires advanced fit-up experience)

Responsibilities:

  • Has overall responsibility for performing the dimensional checking of fit-up at the assigned plant.
  • Ensure that the fabricated steel will fit as planned, meets customer specifications, and inspections are completed as required to support workflow and sequence.
  • Reports and maintains inspection results. Prepares documentation required by the customer for certification that all quality procedures were followed.
  • Performs in-process fit-up inspections on poles and structural steel weld assemblies.
  • Monitoring, and executing activities related to ensuring that inspections of fit-up assemblies are completed to the requirements of applicable specifications and codes.
  • Reads new project specifications.
  • Interprets drawings, customer specifications and standards of moderate complexity.
  • Is responsible for assisting the Quality Control Manager in administering the AISC program at assigned plant. Ensures that ALL production-related employees understand and follow applicable AISC standards, and that the shop is prepared for the annual AISC audit. Support the Quality Control Manager during AISC audits.
  • Works with other QA/QC inspectors to organize inspection work to be done on a daily and weekly basis.
  • Assists in identifying and solving quality non-conformances in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Assists shop employees with questions and clarifications on QC issues as needed.
  • Works with QA/QC team to ensure the quality control program designed to make sure continuous production of products consistent with established standards is implemented and being followed.
  • Addresses quality issues related to non-conforming material or components, and obtain timely disposition in order to maintain production flow.

Qualifications:

  • 3 – 5 years of experience in steel fabrication, preferably with a portion of that time spent in an inspection role.
  • Ability to read and an in-depth understanding of shop drawings.
  • Basic knowledge of ASIC and AWS national codes.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or other continuous improvement techniques desired.
  • Maintain an attitude conducive to progress through positive change, continuous improvement, and an active contribution to the teamwork concepts.
  • Possess exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Job Summary

The Senior Accountant is responsible for product costing, product manufacturing analysis, inventory valuation, and credit management including collections. The position reports to and works with the Controller to assist in analyzing financial information and preparing financial reports to determine or maintain a record of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, or other financial activities within an organization.  This position will have substantial responsibility analyzing Cost of Goods Sold reports, monitoring job profitability, and assisting in the month-end close process and preparation of multi-plant financial and operational reports along with other projects as assigned. The position provides recommendations to senior management in support of the achievement of Company goals.

Job Summary

Delivers steel and equipment to various job sites.  CDL-B (A preferred).  Must be proficient in operating flatbed trailers.

Responsibilities:

  • Will operate tractor/trailer in the transportation of freight in accordance with Company, Federal, State and Local laws with regard to run times and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations.
  • Conducts pre-trip inspections to ensure safe working conditions of the tractor and trailer prior to each trip.
  • Checks gauges and visual indicators for malfunctions, and conduct inspection of vehicle before and during trips to determine problems that may be occurring.
  • Required to load and unload trucks, inspect trucks for accuracy of order, compliance with weight restrictions and effectively secure the cargo.
