Priority Positions

This position fits, joins, fabricates and repairs metal and other weldable materials by applying appropriate welding techniques in accordance with product specifications and production schedules.

Responsibilities:

  • Produce quality UT passable welds.
  • Ability to weld with flux core, solid core.
  • Must know welding symbols.
  • Working knowledge of using temperature sticks, welding gauges.
  • Ability to use Overhead and Jib cranes.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of 2-4 years’ experience.
  • Must pass a 2G test

Working Conditions:

  • Frequent: squatting, bending, kneeling, reaching, twisting, walking on rough ground, exposure to change of temperature or humidity, exposure to dust/fumes/or gases, and be near moving equipment.
  • Possess the ability to exert forces up to 50 lbs.

This position aligns and fits parts to form complete units or subunits, following blueprints and layout specifications, and using jigs, welding torches, and hand tools.

Responsibilities:

  • Layout reference points and patterns and construct patterns and templates.
  • Lift or move materials and finished products, using large cranes.

Required Qualifications:

Available Positons

Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring quality assurance before galvanized material is moved into the storage yard.
  • Following customers’ shop order packing instruction, and recording the shop order, the number of items, weights, and location of storage.
  • Processing materials through the caustic cleaner and the sulfuric acid pickle tanks.
  • Inspecting racked material for safety and proper racking procedures.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 2 – 4 years’ of previous experience in a galvanizing and/or steel fabrication environment, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

Working Conditions:

  • 100% Shop exposure.
  • Exposure to shop hazards and significant heat.
  • Frequent: squatting, bending, kneeling, reaching, twisting, walking on rough ground, exposure to change of temperature or humidity, exposure to dust/fumes/or gases, and be near moving equipment.
  • Possess the ability to exert forces up to 100 lbs.

Operator 1 – (Euless & Haltom City)
This position follows leads instructions regarding daily jobs. Assemble work tools for the day. Check tooling to assure correct hole sizes are in place. Check that all safety guards are in proper position and working order.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain good attendance and punctuality.
  • Work overtime when required.
  • Follow lead-man directions and instructions.
  • Maintain production and quality of finished product.
  • Follow all Falcon Steel safety programs/policies.
  • Practice good housekeeping (keep area clean/organized).

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to read English.
  • Overhead and Jib crane experience.
  • Ability to work in extreme temperatures.

Working Conditions:

  • Frequent: squatting, bending, kneeling, reaching, twisting, walking on rough ground, exposure to change of temperature or humidity, exposure to dust/fumes/or gases, and be near moving equipment.
  • Possess the ability to exert forces up to 50 lbs.

Operator 2 – (Haltom City)

This position assists main operator and informs supervisor of any malfunctions. Visually inspects and checks to make sure parts are within tolerance before bending.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain good attendance and punctuality
  • Follow shop foreman’s instructions
  • Maintain production and quality
  • Follow all Falcon Steel America Safety Programs/Policies
  • Overtime when requested
  • Practice good housekeeping (keep area clean/organized)

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in manufacturing (Blocking machine, angle drill, multi-head torch, rack punch, radial arm drill, bed drill, etc.)
  • Must have knowledge of different dies
  • Must have overhead and jib crane experience
  • Ability to read tape measure & degree finder
  • Ability to work in extreme temperatures
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

 Working Conditions:

  • Frequent: squatting, bending, kneeling, reaching, twisting, walking on rough ground, exposure to change of temperature or humidity, exposure to dust/fumes/or gases, and be near moving equipment.
  • Possess the ability to exert forces up to 50 lbs.

The positions grinds burrs from holes on various parts, relieves sharp corners by grinding, completes general cleaning of parts after welding, and loads and unloads trucks.

  • Familiar with electric and pneumatic hand tools.
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions.

Working Conditions:

  • Requires long hours of standing, squatting, bending, kneeling, reaching, twisting, being near moving equipment, and exposure to change of temperature or humidity, including dust, fumes, or gases.
  • Must be able to lift and push/pull up to 50 lbs.

Intermediate and Senior level position(s) responsible for ensuring the highest degree of product quality is achieved via current manufacturing processes. This position will work with company-wide QA/QC team and fabrication crews to establish quality standards and procedures, and identify quality improvement opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Dimensional checking of structurally fabricated steel, weld size and quality and general compliance with fabrication to the specified detail drawings as well as AWS specifications. Ideal candidates will already hold the AWS Certified Weld Inspector designation.
  • Responsible for verifying conformance of product to contract requirements through: visual inspection of welds. Nondestructive testing if qualified.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience.

Working Conditions:

  • This position requires long hours of standing, squatting, bending, kneeling, reaching, twisting, being near moving equipment, and exposure to change of temperature or humidity, including dust, fumes, or gases.
  • Possess the ability to exert forces up to 50 lbs.

Delivers steel and equipment to various job sites.  CDL-B (A preferred).  Must be proficient in operating flatbed trailers.

Responsibilities:

  • Will operate tractor/trailer in the transportation of freight in accordance with Company, Federal, State and Local laws with regard to run times and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations.
  • Conducts pre-trip inspections to ensure safe working conditions of the tractor and trailer prior to each trip.
  • Checks gauges and visual indicators for malfunctions, and conduct inspection of vehicle before and during trips to determine problems that may be occurring.
  • Required to load and unload trucks, inspect trucks for accuracy of order, compliance with weight restrictions and effectively secure the cargo.

Required Qualifications:

  • Heavy haul experience required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience.
  • CDL (A preferred)

Working Conditions:

  • Exposure to shop hazards.
  • This position requires walking, sitting or standing to a significant degree and lifting up to 100 lbs.
