Job Summary

Under the direction of the Pole Shop/Shift Supervisor, the mechanic welds, shells, and structures to fabricate and /or repair shell tubes.

Shifts:
Haltom City: 2nd Shift

Qualifications

  1. Minimum 2 – 4 years’ experience
  2. Availability for 1stand 2ndshift
  3. Familiar with submerge arc welding concepts, practices and procedures.
  4. Must be thoroughly familiar with welding equipment such as torches, torch tips, and Air Arc
  5. Ability to work in extreme temperatures (sometimes due to season)
  6. Overhead and Jib crane experience
  7. Ability to work OT when requested
  8. Must maintain good attendance and be punctual
  9. Must maintain an OSHA-approved welding hood

Responsibilities:

  • Perform submerged arc welding on components as assigned.
  • Perform assigned tasks in a safe manner avoiding all unsafe practices.
  • Perform internal quality control of welding procedures.
  • Perform grinding and/or cleaning of welds as necessary to achieve standards.
  • Corrects welds as necessary.
  • Sets up and performs jobs based on shop practices and procedures.
  • Measures and directs the fitting of shell assemblies.
  • Operates overhead crane. Aids crane operator by visual and vocal signals when parts/assemblies are being positioned or lifted.
  • Perform various operator QC duties.
  • Use broom and other cleaning equipment to maintain the work area in a clean, orderly environment.

Job Summary

This position fits, joins, fabricates and repairs metal and other weldable materials by applying appropriate welding techniques in accordance with product specifications and production schedules.

Shifts:

Responsibilities:

  • Produce quality UT passable welds.
  • Ability to weld with flux core, solid core.

Job Summary

The Bundling Technician is responsible for preparing fabricated steel assembled parts, into bundles, for shipping, according to customer specifications and job requirements.  These parts should be bundled in a safe, controlled, efficient manner, to meet customer shipment deadlines. This position is also responsible for gathering produced material; and grouping, by job and structure, for fulfillment of customer orders, in alignment with shipment demands in an efficient, effective and timely manner, which is necessary for on-time delivery, adding value to the customer experience and shipment traceability – all of which supports order fulfillment and accuracy of invoicing on shipped products.

Experience

This position requires the following education and experience:

  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Minimum of two (2) to three (3) years of experience in, Production, Shipping, or Material Handling
  • Minimum of one (1) year in Order Picking and Fulfillment
  • Prior experience working in a high-volume shop/manufacturing environment
  • Prior production, material handling and/or shipping experience is preferred

Under general supervision, this position is responsible for performing the following duties:

  • The ability to prepare documentation and identification of bundled material; the ability to coordinate bundles per specified count, criteria, and details called for, on directives; and, the ability to understand and interpret pick lists, job travelers, and miscellaneous shipment documents
  • The ability to maintain knowledge of completed tasks, and pending tasks, to ensure completion of target deadlines
  • The ability to load and unload material, as required for bundling purposes; the ability to assist in the inspection and identification of material handling and bundling fixtures, chains, cranes, and equipment, to ensure safe operational practices

Job Summary

The Drafting Detailer will create 3D models and fabrication drawings from design documents to customer/engineering specifications, and is responsible for preparing drawings and bills of materials accurately. The Drafting Detailer will also be responsible for conferring with design personnel to resolve drawing and design discrepancies.

Experience

This position requires:

  • A minimum of three (3) to five (5) years’ related work experience in the Electrical Utility Transmission and Substation Industry creating steel fabrication and assembly drawings using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD is required.
  • Strong experience with using Inventor and AutoCAD.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft office suite with a focus on Excel and Outlook.
  • Familiarity with standard steel manufacturing practices in the Electrical Utility Transmission and Substation Industry.

Job Summary

The Galvanizing Material Handler supports the galvanizing activities by loading, moving, handling, unloading and distributing materials within the plant. A materials handler has a very structured work environment to minimize safety risks. Each job is planned in detail and safety issues are addressed before a job begins.  Working as a materials handler doesn’t require formal education, but does entail extensive on-the-job training. Other requirements might include a commercial driver’s license (CDL).

Shifts: 1st & 2nd

Experience

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent, required
  • Experience in working in steel industry or galvanizing, plus
  • Galvanizing industry experience applying A123/A123M-12 standard specifications for zinc coatings, plus
  • Ability to be forklift and overhead crane certified and operate a forklift and overhead crane. (Forklift experience required)
  • A strong working knowledge of hand tools and gauges such as impact wrenches, air grinder, drills, tappers, oxygen acetylene torches and mill gauges
  • Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy while working in a fast-paced environment with multiple distractions
  • Ability to effectively present information to small groups of customers, clients, and other organization employees

Job Summary

This position maintains production and quality by ensuring operation of machinery and mechanical equipment.  Electrical knowledge and experience is a plus. Required to work on all assigned task and will work under the supervision of the maintenance supervisor.  Demonstrate the ability to repair, troubleshoot and upgrade a variety of industrial machines and equipment in our steel manufacturing facility.  In this role you will complete maintenance service and repairs of plant equipment, machinery, etc.  You will maintain buildings and plant facilities in clean, orderly and working conditions.  Responsible for building a positive working relationship across other departments with a main focus on production.

Responsibilities:

  1. Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, electrical schematics, hydraulic schematic, operations manuals, manufacturer’s instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.
  2. Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
  3. Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts.
  4. Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts; using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
  5. Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges.
  6. Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance.

Job Summary:

This clerk position is tasked with assisting in ensuring the highest degree of product quality is achieved via current manufacturing processes. This position will work with company-wide QA/QC team and fabrication crews to establish quality standards and procedures, and identify quality improvement opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • QC clerk performs daily inspection for quality control under quality control inspector.
  • These inspections will be documented for which training will be provided to a QC intern.
  • QC clerk is responsible for maintaining accurate and precise products; ensures timelines and appropriate sense of urgency in all aspects of quality control functions; and ensures that productivity and turnaround goals are met.
  • QC clerk updates training records under supervision of quality control inspector and is involved in business activities and gains valuable industry experience while working with top experienced professionals.
  • QC clerk ensures customer orders and forms are completed accurately, detailed, stamped and have appropriate signatures prior to final review by quality control inspector.

Job Summary:

Skilled position responsible for ensuring the highest degree of product quality is achieved via current manufacturing processes. This position will work with company-wide QA/QC team.

 

Primary duties will include the dimensional checking of fit-up on poles and structural steel, weld symbols and a general compliance to the specified detail drawings as well as AWS and AISC specifications.

Must be able to provide documents and certifications, including proof of experience hours according to A.S.N.T., TC-1A & Documented with signatures. We utilize A.S.N.T certified technicians only.

Responsibilities:

  • Has overall responsibility for performing the visual inspection of welded joints at the assigned plant.
  • Ensure that the fabricated steel is welded as planned, meets customer specifications, and inspections are completed as required to support workflow and sequence.
  • Reports and maintains inspection results. Prepares documentation required by the customer for certification that all quality procedures were followed.
  • Performs in-process weld inspections on poles and heavy structural steel welded assemblies.
  • Monitoring, and executing activities related to ensuring that inspections of welded assemblies are completed to the requirements of applicable specifications and codes.
  • Reads new project specifications.
  • Interprets drawings, customer specifications and standards of moderate complexity.
  • Is responsible for assisting the Quality Control Manager in administering the AISC program at assigned plant. Ensures that ALL production-related employees understand and follow applicable AISC standards, and that the shop is prepared for the annual AISC audit. Support the Quality Control Manager during AISC audits.
  • Works with other QA/QC inspectors to organize inspection work to be done on a daily and weekly basis.
  • Assists in identifying and solving quality non-conformances in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Assists shop employees with questions and clarifications on QC issues as needed.
  • Works with QA/QC team to ensure the quality control program designed to make sure continuous production of products consistent with established standards is implemented and being followed.

The Senior Accountant is responsible for product costing, product manufacturing analysis, inventory valuation, and credit management including collections. The position reports to and works with the Controller to assist in analyzing financial information and preparing financial reports to determine or maintain a record of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, or other financial activities within an organization.  This position will have substantial responsibility analyzing Cost of Goods Sold reports, monitoring job profitability, and assisting in the month-end close process and preparation of multi-plant financial and operational reports along with other projects as assigned. Experience

  • Will operate tractor/trailer in the transportation of freight in accordance with Company, Federal, State and Local laws with regard to run times and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations.
  • Conducts pre-trip inspections to ensure safe working conditions of the tractor and trailer prior to each trip.
  • Checks gauges and visual indicators for malfunctions, and conduct inspection of vehicle before and during trips to determine problems that may be occurring.
