Job Summary

This position fits, joins, fabricates and repairs metal and other weldable materials by applying appropriate welding techniques in accordance with product specifications and production schedules.

Shifts:
Euless: 2nd Shift
Kaufman: 2nd Shift

Responsibilities:

  • Produce quality UT passable welds.
  • Ability to weld with flux core, solid core.
  • Must know welding symbols.
  • Working knowledge of using temperature sticks, welding gauges.
  • Ability to use Overhead and Jib cranes.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of 2-4 years’ experience.
  • Must pass a 2G test

Working Conditions:

Job Summary
This position aligns and fits parts to form complete units or subunits, following blueprints and layout specifications, and using jigs, welding torches, and hand tools.

Job Summary

This position maintains production and quality by ensuring operation of machinery and mechanical equipment.  Electrical knowledge and experience is a plus. Required to work on all assigned task and will work under the supervision of the maintenance supervisor.  Demonstrate the ability to repair, troubleshoot and upgrade a variety of industrial machines and equipment in our steel manufacturing facility.  In this role you will complete maintenance service and repairs of plant equipment, machinery, etc.  You will maintain buildings and plant facilities in clean, orderly and working conditions.  Responsible for building a positive working relationship across other departments with a main focus on production.

Responsibilities:

  1. Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, electrical schematics, hydraulic schematic, operations manuals, manufacturer’s instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.
  2. Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
  3. Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts.
  4. Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts; using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
  5. Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges.
  6. Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance.
  7. Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies.
  8. Conserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
  9. Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.

This position follows leads instructions regarding daily jobs. Assemble work tools for the day. Check tooling to assure correct hole sizes are in place. Check that all safety guards are in proper position and working order.

Seamer (knowledge of SMAB Submerge Arc Welding and the SubArc Welding Process; Must also have experience with using hydraulic controllers and operating a seamer.

Plasma Operator (CNC Operator)

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain daily press brake maintenance schedule – (assists main operator)
  • Inform Supervisor immediately of any malfunction – (assists main operator)
  • Visually inspect & check to make sure parts are within tolerance before bending – (assists main operator)

Job Summary:

Skilled position responsible for ensuring the highest degree of product quality is achieved via current manufacturing processes. This position will work with company-wide QA/QC team.

 

Primary duties will include the dimensional checking of fit-up on poles and structural steel, weld symbols and a general compliance to the specified detail drawings as well as AWS and AISC specifications.

Must be able to provide documents and certifications, including proof of experience hours according to A.S.N.T., TC-1A & Documented with signatures. We utilize A.S.N.T certified technicians only.

Responsibilities:

  • Has overall responsibility for performing the visual inspection of welded joints at the assigned plant.
  • Ensure that the fabricated steel is welded as planned, meets customer specifications, and inspections are completed as required to support workflow and sequence.
  • Reports and maintains inspection results. Prepares documentation required by the customer for certification that all quality procedures were followed.
  • Performs in-process weld inspections on poles and heavy structural steel welded assemblies.
  • Monitoring, and executing activities related to ensuring that inspections of welded assemblies are completed to the requirements of applicable specifications and codes.
  • Reads new project specifications.
  • Interprets drawings, customer specifications and standards of moderate complexity.
  • Is responsible for assisting the Quality Control Manager in administering the AISC program at assigned plant. Ensures that ALL production-related employees understand and follow applicable AISC standards, and that the shop is prepared for the annual AISC audit. Support the Quality Control Manager during AISC audits.
  • Works with other QA/QC inspectors to organize inspection work to be done on a daily and weekly basis.
  • Assists in identifying and solving quality non-conformances in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Assists shop employees with questions and clarifications on QC issues as needed.
  • Works with QA/QC team to ensure the quality control program designed to make sure continuous production of products consistent with established standards is implemented and being followed.
  • Addresses quality issues related to non-conforming material or components, and obtain timely disposition in order to maintain production flow.

Qualifications:

  • 3 – 5 years of experience in the welding of heavy steel assemblies, preferably with a portion of that time spent in an inspection role.
  • An in depth ability to read and understand shop drawings, especially weld symbols.
  • Basic knowledge of ASIC and AWS national codes.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or other continuous improvement techniques desired.
  • Maintain an attitude conducive to progress through positive change, continuous improvement, and an active contribution to the teamwork concepts
  • Possess exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must possess a strong attention to detail.

  • Must be able to lift and push/pull up to 50 lbs.

Job Summary

Delivers steel and equipment to various job sites.  CDL-B (A preferred).  Must be proficient in operating flatbed trailers.

Required Qualifications

  • Heavy haul experience required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience.
  • CDL (A preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Will operate tractor/trailer in the transportation of freight in accordance with Company, Federal, State and Local laws with regard to run times and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations.
  • Conducts pre-trip inspections to ensure safe working conditions of the tractor and trailer prior to each trip.
  • Checks gauges and visual indicators for malfunctions, and conduct inspection of vehicle before and during trips to determine problems that may be occurring.
  • Required to load and unload trucks, inspect trucks for accuracy of order, compliance with weight restrictions and effectively secure the cargo.
